THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: While the Southern Railways will observe Mechanical Engineering Day on Saturday, the Thiruvananthapuram division will launch initiatives to ensure better services to the passengers. In view of the exceeding passenger demands, 28 trains have been augmented with additional coaches. Efforts are on to run all passenger trains with maximum coach capacity, said a press note. 90 coaches have been introduced in the passenger trains during the past six months.
