THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The city police arrested two members of a quotation gang that operates from Kollam. Uthaman,38,of Ayathil, and Raju,37, of Karumam, were arrested on Saturday for attempting to murder Satheesh Kumar, a resident of Kalady Thaliyil last Friday.
According to the police, the duo were assigned by Nagappan of Karamana Thaliyil to murder Satheesh Kumar who had attacked the former’s wife. Nagappan paid Rs 50000 to Uthaman as quotation fees.
Uthaman and his accomplice Raju waylaid Satheesh Kumar near Melannur last Friday and attempted to kill him. Satheesh had a miraculous escape but suffered injuries.
He had been admitted to the Medical College Hospital.
