THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: For nearly two hours on Wednesday, the MG Road at Statue was off-limits to motorists owing to a Secretariat march taken out by SETO.  The demonstrators had invaded both sides of the city’s chief artery, forcing re-routing of vehicles during the busy morning hours. Thursday will be no different with the DYFI planning to lay a siege to the Secretariat raising the pension issue. And, incidentally, on Wednesday afternoon, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy himself contributed to the confusion. Traffic on the MG Road was blocked again, this time at VJT Hall Junction, around 3 pm, for receiving Chandy with fanfare for the inauguration of city road works. Vehicles were stopped and, instead, a band marched down the road.
