THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: College of Engineering Trivandrum (CET), will be organising Dhwani, an inter-college cultural fest, one of the biggest cultural festivals from January 12 to 15 here. This year, CET is hosting a plethora of events in the realm of art, music,  dance and opera.

This highlights of this year’s festival  include performances by the music sensation Karthik, Neha Nair and the music band Avial. Allet-O-Rhythmo (Choreo video ), Apparel design, Mr & Mrs Dhwani and Dhwani idol are the other events. The fine arts section include face painting, photography, cartooning, etc, said a press release.

 ‘Euphony’ includes musical events like Eastern orchestra, Unplugged and rock show. Drama, short film, mime and street play will also be among the top events.

For the first time CET would venture into the area of creating cultural awareness.

On January 13, Surya Theatres will showcase their much popular short plays ‘’Thaskaran’’  and ‘’Good night” at Dhwani stage.

‘Kaviyarangu’ presided over by famous poet D Vinayachandran with Girish Puliyoor, will be held on January 14.  

Vaikom Mohammed Basheer’s ‘Premalekhanam’ will be staged on January 15.  Last year, Dhwani witnessed individual participation of over 1200 students from 160 colleges from within and outside Kerala and had a footfall of over 40,000 in the span of four days.
