THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The district unit of Kerala Federation of the Blind (KFB) is observing blind week. The inaugural function will be held on Thursday at the KFB head office in the city. Speaker G Karthikeyan will inaugurate the programme at 10 am. K Muraleedharan MLA will preside over the function. Joseph Vazhakkan MLA is to deliver the key note address.
The function will also see the inauguration of the district level arts festival for the visually impaired. Leelamma Mathew, programme executive of All India Radio is scheduled to inaugurate the festival. Visually challenged students from various educational institutions may participate.
