THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: If you are planning a joy ride through the city, Monday afternoon won’t be the best time for it. There will be major traffic diversions in the city from 2 p.m. onwards on Monday owing to a march planned by the Kerala State Tailors’ Association in connection with their 29th state conference, the City Police said.
The instructions for motorists are as follows:
Vehicles moving from the National Highway and MC Road to Thampanoor and East Fort side should go via PMG, Public Library, Panchapura Junction, Bakery Flyover and Panavila.
Vehicles moving from the Vellayambalam side to Thampanoor and East Fort side should go either via Vazhuthacaud, Thycaud, Flyover or take the Museum, Public Library, Panchapura Junction, Bakery Flyover, Panavila route.
Thampanoor, East Fort-bound vehicles coming from the General Hospital side should go via Asan Square, Underpass, Bakery Flyover and Panavila.
Vehicles heading towards Museum and PMG from Statue should take the VJT Hall Junction-Asan Square-Palayam flyover-G V Raja route.
Vehicles heading towards Museum from Thampanoor should take the Panavila, Bakery flyover, Palayam underpass, Asan Square, Palayam flyover, G V Raja route.
Vehicles moving from Thampanoor to Vellayambalam side should go via Bakery Junction, Vazhuthacaud, PHQ and Vellayambalam.
Following are the instructions for people attending the association’s march:
Vehicles coming from the National Highway and MC Road via Pattom-PMG should off-load passengers at World War Memorial and park on the Enchakkal Bypass road.
Vehicles coming from the Nedumangad, Kattakkada side should park on the Manaveeyam Road and Kanaka Nagar Road.
Vehicles coming from Neyyattinkara, Kovalam, Parassala and Vizhinjam and those coming from the NH via Kazhakkootam Bypass should off-load passengers and park on Attakulangara-Bypass road and Killipalam Bund Road.
