THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The national seminars in connection with the 20th CPM state conference will commence on February 3 at the VJT Hall here. The first seminar - Indian Democracy and Lokpal - will be inaugurated by CPM state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan.
N R Madhava Menon will deliver the key-note address.
Opposition Leader V S Achuthanandan will inaugurate the seminar ‘Why Marxism?’ on February 4 while K N Panicker will inaugurate the seminar ‘For a secular democratic culture’ on February 5. K Sachithanandan will inaugurate the seminar ‘Art and literature in the time of globalisation?’ on February 6 while O N V Kurup will inaugurate the seminar ‘Malayalam literature and progressive literary movement’ on February 8. Eighteen regional seminars will also be held along with this in various parts of the district.
