THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The new office-bearers and administrative committees of the Kudumbashree assumed charge in 1,057 Community Development Societies (CDS) across the state. Minister for Panchayats and Social Welfare M K Muneer inaugurated the state-level oath-taking ceremonies at Vellangalloor Grama Panchayat, Thrissur, on Thursday.

Muneer said that the government had already transferred this year’s budgetary allocation of Rs 45 crore to Kudumbashree. The Chief Minister has assured that more funds would be allowed if needed, Muneer added.

The Minister read out the oath of office to chairpersons of two CDS of Kodungalloor Municipality and six Grama Panchayats of Kodungalloor constituency. TN Prathapan MLA, who also presided over the function, administered the oath to respective vice-chairpersons. The office-bearers of new NHGs, ADS, CDS and administrative committees took the oath of office before their respective Grama Panchayat president/municipal chairpersons/Corporation Mayor.
