THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The All-India Private Vehicle Owners’ Association here on Wednesday demanded a Vigilance enquiry into the withdrawal of SIDCO from the tender for installing high-security number plates in vehicles.
The Association office-bearers, at a press conference, said that the move by SIDCO, which had qualified for the second phase of tender along with two private companies, was a deliberate attempt to help out the private companies.
They also demanded that the Government and the Transport Department should drop the move to confirm the tender for a hefty amount.
Association State president Peroorkada Harikumar and secretary Peringammala Aji, among others, attended the press conference.
