THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: As part of ‘International Women’s Day’ celebrations, Air Force Wives Welfare Association (AFWWA), a registered body to provide assistance to the families of deceased/ disabled/ retired/ serving personnel of the Indian Air Force organised a ‘Walkathon’ on Sunday.

 The programme, organised to provide support to differently-abled children, was flagged off by Air Marshal S P Singh, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Air Command, at Shangumugham.

 Teji Singh, president AFWWA (Regional), led the event. Nearly 250 members of AFWWA from Southern Air Command participated in the 2-km walkathon.

 A huge crowd gathered all along the route to cheer the participants. At the conclusion of the event, Teji Singh thanked all participants and the crowd for their support and involvement in the noble cause.
