THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A state litigation policy has been announced in the budget which will be implemented on the lines of national litigation policy for the speedy and transparent settlement with  minimal financial loss of cases in which the state appear as a party.

All the cases with the state as a party  can be settled within a maximum period of three years.

Village courts will be initiated at the level of block panchayats  for the speedy settlement of the cases with lesser gravity.

The share from the Legal Benefit Fund pension for the pension of advocate clerks  has been increased from 20 percent to 30 percent.  Those advocate clerks who had defaulted in payment will be given time for paying the dues.
