THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: K B Ganesh Kumar, Minister for Forests and  Cinema, reiterated his stand on the award winning film ‘Aadimadhyantham’, that it was not completed when its copy was submitted for the competition section of the 16th International Film Festival of Kerala.

“I possess that CD and hence I reiterate my earlier stand that it was not complete. It had nothing to do with the merit of the film,” said the Minister, while inaugurating the First Oscar Film Festival organised by the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy (KSCA) at Sree Padmanabha Theatre here on Friday.“My criticism was not against the film as a section of the media propagated. I had never termed it as a mediocre film. But only stated that the copy of the film was incomplete when submitted to the Academy,” Ganesh clarified while accusing the reporters for misinterpreting the whole episode.

“Most of the reporters who watched the incomplete CD along with me later reported against me,” he said. ‘Aadimadhyantham’, a film about a deaf boy from Northern Kerala, first made news when its director Sherry openly took on the Minister for rejecting his film from the competition section of the 16th IFFK.
