Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said here on Wednesday that a company would be formed in the state for waste disposal.
After evaluating the facilities of the mobile incinerator brought here on Wednesday, Chandy said that the Cabinet had in-principle agreed for the constitution of a company on the lines of Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL).
New scientific techniques will be used for waste treatment and the mobile incinerator was bought as part of this effort, he said.
The incinerator will function in two shifts with eight-hour duration. If the functioning of the incinerator is satisfactory more such vehicles will be bought by the State Government, Chandy said.
