KSEB to use services of NSD agents

The Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) is planning to use the services of the National Savings Department (NSD) agents to drive home the message of energy conservation in households across the state.

The KSEB hopes to have the NSD agents start door-to-door campaigns from February 2013. Ahead of this, the KSEB will start training  NSD agents in multiple aspects such as meter reading, energy conservation tips, the advantages of CFLs and LEDs over conventional incandescent bulbs and identification of ‘star-labelled’ equipment denoting energy efficiency. A major point that will be driven home will be the advantages of energy conservation, once the ‘time of day tariff’ is fully in place in the state. ENS
