The Kerala University sprang a surprise to seventh semester BTech Electrical students who appeared for their first paper exam on Wednesday by repeating 19 of the 20 model questions earlier published on the website.

The questions from 1 to 13 of ‘Control Systems’, the first paper, were repeated in the same chronological order as in the model question paper. The other questions, barring just one, were also repetitions from the model paper.

The university is yet to take any action or informed of follow-up action. The callous attitude has invited criticism from the student community and parents.

When contacted, the university officials said that the fault was with the person who had set the question paper and the scrutiny board. ‘’It is learnt that explanation would be sought from both,’’ a top official said.
