Release of school student’s travelogue

‘Serayude Yathrakal’, a travelogue by Sera Mariyam Binny, a fifth grader at Holy Angels School in the city, will be released at Press Club in the city by Aswathi Thirunal Gouri Lakshmi Bayi of the Travancore royal family on Wednesday.

The copy will be handed over to Malayalam University Vice-Chancellor K Jayakumar. The book chronicles the travelling experiences of Sera from standard III. The book written in a story-telling manner brings her memories of visiting Bangalore, Bharananganam church, Munnar, Ernakulam, Thiruvananthapuram and her native village of Kaithaparambu.

The first copy of the book was handed over to President Pranab Mukherjee during his recent visit to the city. It sketches in detail her experiences of watching the misty Munnar,  Madurai Meenakshi Temple, adventure park at Kollam, train journey to Ernakulam and meeting Rahul Gandhi.

On the occasion, Health Minister V S Sivakumar will be the guest of honour. Auxiliary Bishop Samuel Mar Irenios will preside over the function.
