The State Human Rights Commission has suo moto registered a case based on media reports highlighting the pathetic state of affairs of the ninth ward of the General Hospital here.

Commission chairman Justice J B Koshy directed the Chief Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department Principal Secretaries, the District Collector and the hospital superintendent to submit a detailed report on the present condition of the ward nine before December 19.
