The Kerala University Library will formally launch its eminent scholar membership on Tuesday at a function to be held at the library at 2.30 pm. The special membership is being introduced as part of the platinum jubilee celebrations of the university.
The membership will cater to researchers, scientists and scholars working outside of the university.
Pro-Vice Chancellor J Prabhash will inaugurate the function to be held at the library hall. Syndicate member Jolly Jacob will preside over. The inauguration of the library week will also be held on the occasion. An exhibition of rare manuscripts and books in the collection of the library will be organised in connection with the library week. The latest edition of ‘Kerala Index’, a publication brought out by the library, will be released on the occasion.
