An evening of Bharatanatyam

Seetha Sasidharan, a disciple of the renowned Dhananjayans, will give a Bharatanatyam recital as part of the ongoing Mudra dance festival on Friday at 6.15 pm. She hails from a family of Bharatanatyam and Kathakali artistes and is an alumni of Kalakshetra and Bharatakanlanjali run by the Dhananjayans in Chennai. She has also been part of major production of both these dance schools. She now heads a branch of Bharatakalanjali in Payyannur, her home town.

Kuchipudi dancer Madhavapeddi Murthy honed his skills as an artiste under the tutelage of Vempatti Chinna Satyam. Son of noted playback singer Madhavapeddi Satyam, he has also been trained in Carnatic music. He has taken part in major productions of his Guru’s academy. His dance school, Siva Foundation in Chennai, has earned repute as a major institution.
