PG loved debates, study classes: M A Baby

The life of P Govinda Pillai shows to Communists in Kerala and India that a true Communist should try to ponder all horizons of knowledge, said CPM Politburo member M A Baby.

He was delivering the memorial lecture at the condolence meeting organised by the Kesari Memorial Journalists’ Trust and the district committee of Kerala Union of Working Journalists here on Saturday.

Veteran leader E M S Namboodiripad had once described PG as a great teacher. PG’s knowledge in world history was vast and deep, Baby said.

“PG always loved study classes and debates. One of his greatest contributions was that he introduced Marxian aesthetics to Keralites,”  Baby said.

C Gouridasan Nair presided over the function. Malayinkeezhu  Gopalakrishnan, K P Mohanan and Suresh Vellimangalam spoke.
