Top cops reshuffled

The government on Tuesday effected a major reshuffle in the top brass of the state police. While ADGP (Training) A Hemachandran has been posted as ADGP (South Zone), ADGP (Vigilance) N Shanker Reddy has been made ADGP (North  Zone). ADGP (Armed Police Battalion) R Sreelekha has been shifted to the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau. Managing Director of Bevco P Vijayanand is the new Transport Commissioner. ADGP Maheshkumar Singla, who has been holding the charge of Administration at the police headquarters, has been made Managing Director, Police Housing and Construction Corporation Ltd. He replaces DGP K S Jangpangi who is posted as Commandant General-Home Guards, Civil Defence and Fire and Rescue Services.

The ex-cadre post of the Commandant was created on Tuesday which is equivalent to the post of Director, Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau. DGP (Law and Order) K S Balasubramaniam was holding the posts of Transport Commissioner and Director of Fire and Rescue Services. ADGP (North Zone) Rajesh Dewan is the new ADGP (Training). ADGP (South Zone) P Chandrasekharan has been made ADGP (Administration).
