Two-year PGDM course: ASB invites applications

Asian School of Business (ASB), one of South India’s leading B-Schools, has invited applications for AICTE-approved Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) course for 2013-15.

The two-year, full-time programme starts in August 2013 and has an intake of 120 students ,which is double the number last year.

PGDM candidates must have a three-year University degree in any discipline from a recognised institution with at least 50 per cent marks in main subjects. Students appearing for their final year degree examinations might also apply.

CAT, MAT or CMAT scores would be considered for admission and eligible applicants would be called in for a group discussion and personal interview.

ASB offers a number of scholarships, awarded as fee waivers, for meritorious students through schemes supported by its various donors, chiefly the George M Thomas Foundation.

Students who have scored over 90 per cent in CAT/ MAT/ CMAT, more than 80 per cent in Class X and XII and over 75 per cent in their degree programme are eligible for scholarships.

Scholarship schemes are also available for candidates who have completed their Class X, XII or degree programmes from one of the seven north-eastern states; as well as for the top 10 per cent of students in the first year of the PGDM programme.

ASB, which was founded in 2005, had managed to establish itself as a premier institute of learning within a short span thanks to outstanding resources, facilities and world-class faculty.

It was the LEED Gold Certification - a hallmark of excellence for energy-efficiency and building design.

ASB enjoys the benefit of guidance from a Board of Governors, comprising professionals and academicians including S Ramadorai, former Vice-Chairman & CEO of TCS and current Advisor to the Prime Minister on Skill Development; Professor Samuel Paul, former director, IIM-A and advisor to the World Bank; George M Thomas, patron, ASB, and CEO of Burj Oman and the founder-president of Trivandrum International School and G Vijaya Raghavan, founder-CEO of Technopark and member, State Planning Board.
