Awareness Campaigns Planned

As many as 1,000 public awareness campaigns will be held across the state ahead of the Global Ayurveda Festival (GAF) 2014 to be held in February at Kochi. Training programmes on the theme ‘A Healthy Life Through Ayurveda’ will be undertaken among the public as part of the campaign.

A training programme in this connection was launched here for trainers on Sunday. “The public awareness classes would begin during the second week of January and would be inaugurated by Adviser to the Prime Minister Sam Pitroda,” C Suresh Kumar, general secretary, CISSA, which is organising GAF 2014 said.

The trainers’ training programme was held here under the auspices of the Ayurveda Medical Association of India T’Puram zone.
