500 Held in Combing Operation by Thiruvananthapuram Police

As many as 500 persons, including 14 declared wanted by various courts, were arrested in a combing operation by the city police from Monday night to Tuesday morning.

Police said that those arrested include 245 against whom warrants were pending. 92 are accused in various criminal cases and 72 for drunken driving. A total of 48 were booked for consuming alcohol in public place . 51 were booked for smoking in public.

Anilkumar alias ‘auto Kumar’, Sivakumar and Hector Gomez were among those held with long pending warrants.
