President Coming; Traffic Diversions in City Today

The City Police will enforce traffic regulations on Friday in view of President Pranab Mukherjee’s one-day visit to the city.

The City Police will enforce traffic regulations on Friday in view of President Pranab Mukherjee’s one-day visit to the city.  It has been decided to impose restrictions after 2 pm on the Airport- Shangumugham- Al Saints’ - Chackai Bypass- Pettah- Pattoor- Asan Square- RR Lamp- Corporation- Museum route. During which, vehicles coming from Airport area entering the city should take Valiyathura- Ponnarapalam- Kallumoodu- Enchackal route and those from Palayam towards Shangumugham and Airport will be diverted via Ayurveda College- Upidamoodu Bridge- West Fort- Enchackal- Valiyathura or will be diverted through PMG- Pattom- Kumarampuram- KIMS- Venpalavattom Junction- Veli- Vettucaud to Shangumugham.

 Vehicles from Nedumangad to Thampanoor and East Fort should take Peroorkada- Oolanpara- Pippinmoodu- Sasthamangalam- Kochar Road- Edapazhanji - SMC- Vazhuthacaud route.  The vehicles from MC Road heading towards Thampanoor and East Fort should take the route via Mannanthala- Mukkola- Peroorkada-Pippinmoodu-Sasthamangalam- Kochar Road- Edapazhanji- SMC Vazhuthacaud and those moving from East Fort to Vattiyoorkavu should take Thampanoor- Flyover- Thycaud- Vazhuthacaud- Kochar Road- Maruthumkuzhy route.

Vehicles should not be parked along Vellayambalam- Kanakkakunnu- Museum- Nandavanam- RR Lamp-  Palayam- Asan Square- AKG Centre- Patoor- Pettah- Shangumugham stretch.
