As part of controlling the foot and mouth disease, which has spread across the state and claimed hundreds of cattle, Minister for Dairy Development K C Joseph has directed the department to postpone district-wise cattle fairs.

The Minister for Dairy Development said in a press release here on Saturday that the production of milk in the state had declined owing to the outbreak of the disease.
