C-DIT Silver Jubilee Fete Inauguration

Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will inaugurate the silver jubilee celebrations of Centre for Development of Imaging Technology (C-DIT) at its Chithranjali Hills campus here on December 30 at 5 pm.

Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will inaugurate the silver jubilee celebrations of Centre for Development of Imaging Technology (C-DIT) at its Chithranjali Hills campus here on December 30 at 5 pm.

Cultural Affairs Minister K C Joseph, who holds the charge of C-DIT, will preside over the function. Union Minister of State for HRD Shashi Tharoor will deliver the keynote address. Health Minister V S Sivakumar will release the international science journal of C-DIT. V Sivankutty MLA will release the silver jubilee logo.

PRD Secretary Rani George, PRD Director Mini Antony, former minister M M Hassan, former MLA Thampanoor Ravi, C-DIT director  Babu Gopalakrishnan, registrar S A Shajahan, C-DIT Employees Congress president Solomon Alex, C-DIT Employees Association president Kadakampally Surendran and Corporation councillor A J Sukarno will speak.

The organisation has announced a slew of programmes as part of the year-long silver jubilee celebrations.

These include mobile manuscripts digitisation facility, Cyber Darshan -  internet awareness programme for students, workshops to preserve rare books in rural libraries and quality control centre for solar equipment.
