The 123rd birth anniversary of the architect of Indian Constitution Dr B R Ambedkar was celebrated on Monday at an official function organised here on Monday.
Speaker G Karthikeyan, Minister of Tourism and Welfare of SC and Backward Classes A P Anilkumar, Assembly Secretary P D Gangadharan and others garlanded Dr Ambedkar’s statue at a function held on the Assembly premises.
Speaking on the occasion, Karthikeyan said that younger generation should have to follow the ideals of Dr Ambedkar, who had dedicated his life for the entire society.
Ambedkar was an embodiment of patriotism and humanism and always stood for the good of the nation, he said.
