A youth who was hit by an over-speeding bike at Varkala died at the Medical College Hospital (MCH) on Sunday night. The deceased was Sreekumar, 23, of Sarojaneeyam House, Chilakoor, Varkala.
The Varkala Police said Sreekumar met with the accident when he was walking with a friend on the road in front of the municipal office around 11.45 pm. Though he was rushed to the MCH he succumbed to the injuries shortly.
Youth Kills Himself
A youth committed suicide by hanging at his residence at Azhakulam near Kovalam. The deceased was Paresh Thomas, 23, of Vijaya Bhavan, Azhakulam. The Kovalam Police said the youth committed suicide owing to depression. He was a BCom holder and was working as a salesman.
