Sanjeeva Reddy to Open Workshop

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: INTUC all-India president G Sanjeeva Reddy will inaugurate a five-day workshop on ‘new challenges and action programmes in the labour sector’ from August 2 to 6.INTUC district committee is organising the  workshop at Vyloppilli Sanskrithi Bhavan.

Representing 2.16 lakh workers in the 79 unions affiliated to the INTUC in the district, 800 delegates will attend workshop.

On August 3, the flagship project implemented by the Centre and its progress will come for evaluation. KPCC general secretary Thampanoor Ravi will inaugurate. On August 4, the challenges being faced by the workers in the construction, motor, loading and unloading, traditional, fisheries and agricultural sectors and the policies followed by the  governments will come up for discussion.  Varkala Kahar MLA will inaugurate.

On the fourth day of the workshop on August 5, INTUC state president R Chandrasekharan will inaugurate the session. INTUC all-India secretary Palode Ravi will inaugurate the 5th day’s discussions focussing on action programmes on August 6.

DCC president K Mohan Kumar will deliver the valedictory address at 3 pm on August 6.
