Burglary at Temple

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Unidentified persons stole hundis from a temple near Kattakada in the wee hours of Saturday. According to the police, the incident happened between 1.15 am and 5 am at Muliyoor Siva Temple in Kattakada.

“The burglars entered the temple premises after breaking down the fence in front the temple. Though two temple employees were there, owing to heavy rain they did not hear any sound. The burglars decamped with three steel pots which were used as hundis. The incident came to light around 5 am. It is estimated that around Rs 7,000 was inside the pots,” the police said.
