THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The deadline for availing of subsidies on interest of educational loans, issued by scheduled and commercial banks before March 31, 2009, has been extended to August 31 under the Central Government’s scheme.
An applicant loanee is eligible for subsidies only if the annual family income is less than Rs 4.5 lakh.
