THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: District Collectors have been directed to utilise the funds earmarked for flood relief measures in a time bound manner. Revenue Minister Adoor Prakash gave the directive while interacting with the District Collectors through a video conference.
Addressing the conference, the Minister said that the Centre would not provide more funds if the funds which were allotted already were not utilised. The Collectors should take this into account and utilise the amount at the earliest.
Stating that the Centre had allotted Rs 178.73 crore towards drought and flood relief, Adoor Prakash said that an amount of Rs 91 crore remains unutilised.
