Government hospitals across the state will get the nets on Friday as part of an initiative

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: With the aim of eradicating infectious diseases transmitted through mosquito bites, Junior Chamber International (JCI), a charitable organisation, will donate medicated mosquito nets to government hospitals across the state on Friday.  In the city, Mayor K Chandrika would inaugurate the programme at Corporation office hall at 3.30 pm on the day.

As the part of ‘Clean India and Mosquito Eradication’ campaign of JCI, a motorcade of motorcyclists and other vehicles would be travelling from Domestic Airport to Kovalam. JCI will also distribute plant saplings to students of Sathram School at Manacaud.

Conveying the messages of ‘Clean India and Mosquito Eradication’, a group of young volunteers from JCI under the banner of D’Heurusticz would perform a flash mob near Shangumugham at 5.30 pm.
