Sale of Drugs: 7 Arrested in Police Drive

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Around seven people were arrested on Sunday in a drive launched by the state police to nab people engaged in the sale of cigarettes, pan masala, liquor and drugs near schools. According to Director General of Police K S Balasubramanian, around 56 raids were carried out on the same day.

“Including the raid on Sunday, as many as 3,106 were arrested till now.

A total of 18,064 raids were conducted and as many as 3,227 cases were registered,” K S Balasubramanian said.

The  Director General of Police  said the raids to nab the people who engage in the sale of cigarettes, pan masala, liquor and drugs near schools will continue across the state in the coming days.
