THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A 44-year-old housewife was found hanging in her house at Shasthamkavu near Vithura on Tuesday. According to the police, Indira, wife of Thulaseedharan of Shasthamkavu, was found hanging from the ceiling of the drawing room of her house on Tuesday around 12.30 pm.
“She was found dead when her younger son came home from school. Her husband was also not in the house. It is suspected that she hanged herself after 9.30 am when her son and husband left home,” said the police.
According to her relatives’ statements given to the police, financial crisis led to the suicide. Indira leaves behind her husband, who is a timber trader, and two sons.
