Sanskrit Week Celebrations at KV Pattom

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The inauguration of Sanskrit Week Celebration, organised by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), Ernakulam Region was held at Kendriya Vidyalaya Pattom conducted the Sanskrit Week Celebrations on Tuesday. Dr C A Shyla, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Sanskrit, University of Kerala, inaugurated the function. Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Ernakulam organised the programme at the school in connection with the ongoing Sanskrit Week celebration, which started on August 7.

S Selvaraj, Deputy Commissioner, KVS, Ernakulam, presided over the function. Mahesh Dharmadhikari, regional officer, CBSE, Thiruvananthapuram and Dr N Maheswaran Nair, retired Sanskrit professor, extended felicitations on the occasion.

V Meenakshi, Assistant Commissioner, KVS RO, Ernakulam welcomed the gathering and S Ajayakumar, principal, KV Pattom, delivered the vote of thanks. K B K Unnithan, Valsala Nair and Jose Mathew, principals of KV Pangode, SAP and Akkulam were also present.

Cultural programmes in Sankrit were conducted after the inaugural ceremony. Students from different KVs in the Thriuvananthapuram cluster and Navodaya Vidyalayas took part in geeta chanting, shloka chanting, group songs and skit.
