THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The PWD officials have, at last, taken action on the long-term hue and cry of commuters for a good road along the Peroorkada- Pippinmoodu stretch. The potholes which were a threat to the bikers were filled by the PWD the other day.
The work, which lasted just 10 hours, was carried out by using the pothole-filling machine. The potholes which were seen at Pippinmoodu junction, Oolampara and in front of Special Armed Police (SAP) camp were covered.
Earlier, ‘Express’ had reported on the pathetic condition of this stretch. When contacted, the PWD officials had said then that the domestic pipelines laid beneath the road had caused the depressions.
Anyhow, the patchwork from the side of the PWD officials will be a blessing to the bikers, who had been under the threat of these ‘unexpected traps’.
