Raids Conducted

Statewide raids conducted by the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB) on government quarters titled “Operation Habitat” detected various irregularities in connection with occupancy, officials said. The raids covered residential apartments provided by various government departments.

The irregularities included occupancy by staff of other departments and not vacating  the accomodation by some staff even after being relieved from the post. The exact number of cases could be revealed after further scrutiny, officials said.

In the capital, raids were conducted on various premises including Govt Quarters, Melarannoor and NGO quarters at PMG.
