A rereading of the life and times of Mahatma Gandhi is inevitable for the security of future generations, said speaker G Karthikeyan.

He added that Gandhi the individual, Gandhi the freedom fighter, Gandhi the Mahatma and Gandhi the social activist must be revisited and only by following the path shown by him can lasting foundations be built.

The Speaker was attending a Photo Exhibition which was held on Friday at the University Senate Chamber and organised by the Centre for Gandhian Studies of Kerala University and Writers Forum for Harmony.

The exhibition showcased 50 years of peace activities of N Radhakrishnan, one of the recipients of National Communal Harmony Awards 2013. Mayor K Chandrika inaugurated the exhibition.
