The government will honour officials of the Revenue Department from the District Collector-level to the Village Officer-level as part of the observation of Revenue Day on Monday.
It was on February 24, 1886, that the Revenue Settlement Proclamation was issued. The government had decided to mark the day as Revenue Day.
Along with creating awareness among people about the various services offered by the Revenue Department, officials who have rendered exemplary service to the public will also be honoured during the function to be held in the VJT Hall here.
Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will inaugurate the function and Revenue Minister Adoor Prakash will preside over it.
