Religious Leaders Back Mata

Religious leaders in the state have come out against the ‘false propaganda’ against Amritanandamayi and her ashram, stating that all these controversies were raised with a hidden agenda to lower the morale of the followers.

In a statement here, Chinmaya Mission regional head (Kerala) Viviktananda Saraswathi, Santhigiri Ashramam organising secretary Gururethnam Jnana Thapaswi, Sivagiri Math president Prakashananda,

Panmana Ashram head Pranavananda Theerthapadar, Sreekrishnashrama head Golokananda and Marga Darshak president Chitanandapuri said that it was a matter of real concern that such false propaganda was being unleashed against ashrams.

They said that Amritanandamayi ashram, through its various welfare activities, had contributed a great deal to the social and cultural development of the state.
