Two persons were arrested by the Valiyathura police on charges of attacking a person and thus creating a violent scene in Poonthura on Thursday. The arrested have been identified as Saleem, 35 and Shibu, 30 of Vallakadavu.
The police said that the duo were arrested based on a tip-off received by Shangumugham Assistant Commissioner Jawahar Janardh about their hideout. After the incident, both of them were absconding. They were produced before the court and remanded in judicial custody.
