Election Officials Manhandled

Kazhakootam police have registered a case after two members of the expenditure monitoring squad of the Election Commission were allegedly manhandled by two supporters of the UDF in Kazhakootam on Sunday.

According to the Kazhakootam police, the officials Anil Kumar and Siju had gone to the Amman Kovil Hall in Kazhakootam Junction to record on video an election meeting there around 6 pm.  According to the complaint, party supporters there entered into an argument with the duo. The two officials were manhandled and had to leave the venue without completing their job. The police have registered a case against two identifiable persons.
