The Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple Employees Union has welcomed amicus curiae Gopal Subramaniam’s report submitted to the Supreme Court. A meeting of the Union held here on Wednesday called for a probe into the findings in the report. “Steps should be taken to protect the ‘Pathrakulam’ and ‘Mithranandapuram’ ponds and Rangavilasam Palace. Encroachments on the temple complex should be evicted,” the meeting noted. The Union observed that a member of the Travancore royal family should be included in the newly-constituted administration committee to ensure continuance of age-old practices. Karamana Hari inaugurated the meeting presided over by Thakidi Krishnan Nair. Cherunniyoor Sasidharan Nair, S A Sundar, P Rajendradas, R S Vijayamohan, T R Ajayakumar, R Aravindakshan and K S Anilkumar spoke.
