Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Kerala Chapter, will organise ‘CII Kerala MSME Meet 2014 - Small to Medium, Medium to Big: Growth Strategies’ in Hilton Garden Inn here on May 9.
The meet aims to enable Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) to assess themselves, manage, market and grow to the next level, scale up from small to medium and medium to big. The event will also serve as a platform to collaborate, network and explore opportunities to enhance growth, according to the CII.
“Indian MSMEs and their numerous strengths related to low cost of production, operational flexibility, ability to adapt to new technologies and so on are well known. However, the recent economic downturn had shown that MSMEs needed to develop newer markets. MSMEs are now exposed to greater opportunities and diversification across sectors and need to explore new markets that offer potential opportunities for their growth,” said a CII press release.
“The topics that will be covered at the meet include ‘Hands-on experience: A successful entrepreneur - A direct talk; ‘The entrepreneurial spirit: Are you letting it get the best of you?’; ‘Customer retention strategies: Keeping your customer loyal’; ‘Finance options for SMEs’; ‘The role of NSIC in marketing, finance and technology’; ‘Brand building and online presence’ and ‘Leveraging R&D and technology for business growth,” the release said.
Indian Bank Chairman and Managing Director, T M Bhasin, Industries and IT Principal Secretary P H Kurian, IBS Group executive chairman V K Mathews, Muthoot Fincorp Ltd Chairman and Managing Director Thomas John Muthoot and Sinura Health Information Process Solutions CEO and Managing Director M Rina Vivekanandan are among those who will attend the meet.
