Entries Invited for Photography Contest

The Kerala State Biodiversity Board has invited entries from photographers for the amateur digital photography contest ‘Green Images-2014’.

The Kerala State Biodiversity Board has invited entries from photographers for the amateur digital photography contest ‘Green Images-2014’.

The contest will be held in two categories -  for those in the age group of 10 to

18 years and those in the age group of 18 years and above.

The theme of competition for the first category is ‘the diverse nature’ and the second category is ‘biodiversity- or heritage, our wealth’. The contest is open from April 30 to May 10, 2014.

The event carries a cash prize of Rs 5,000 for the first prize and Rs 3,000 for the second prize winner.

In addition, four consolation prizes also will be given.

A maximum of five digital photographs of size 1 Mb to 5 MB each, with duly filled up entry form should to be sent to greenimages2014@gmail.com.

The photos will be posted in Kerala State Biodiversity Board facebook with due credit. 

The most liked entry in Facebook under each category will be given a separate prize.

Only those photographs that have not been published in newspapers or magazines will be considered.

The prizes will be distributed at a public function to be held in connection with the International Day

for Biological Diversity on May 22 in Thiruvananthapuram.
