Governor Praises Contributions of Santhigiri

The rituals and mode of worship differ among societies but the God is one, Governor Sheila Dikshit said.

She was speaking after inaugurating the Nava Oli Jyothirdinam celebrations organised by Santhigiri here on Tuesday.

The Governor lauded the efforts of Santhigiri at the function. “Tolerance and equality, the messages of Santhigiri, have increased relevance in the current society. The organisation is making immense contributions to the health and spiritual sectors,” she said.

Revenue Minister Adoor Prakash presided over the function. Health Minister V S Sivakumar, A Sampath MP, Koliakode N Krishnan Nair MLA, Palayam Imam Yousuf Muhammed Naqvi, Swami Chaithanya Jnana Thapaswi, Swami Gururetnam Jnana Thapaswi and BJP district president S Suresh attended the function. 

The Governor honoured Bobby Chemmanur for his humanitarian activities.
