The State police have tightened vigil against the illegal trade of liquor and sale of spurious liquor in the wake of the closure of several bars in state. DGP K S Balasubramanian directed district police chiefs the other day to take strict action against the ‘parallel’ sale of liquor purchased from Beverages Corporation outlets and then sold through hotels and other public places.
