A case was registered on Wednesday after it came out that a 10-year-old girl was allegedly sexually harassed by her father at Chempazhanthy here.
The mother of the minor, hailing from Chempazhanthy, had approached the Child Welfare Committee last month seeking to shift her daughter from their home as a result of which the girl was moved to a rescue home.
During the counselling at the rescue home, the 10-year-old revealed that she was sexually harassed by her father.
The Poojappura police registered a case and transferred the case to Pothencode police station which has jurisdiction over Chempazhanthy.
Two Cops Hurt
Two policemen were injured after they slipped and fell while replacing damaged roof sheets at the police quarters here on Wednesday.
According to police, Shishupalan, 52, and Prakash, 32, have been admitted to the Medical College Hospital.
The condition of the policemen is stable, police said.
